Our organic portfolio currently includes cassava flour and native tapioca starch, both sourced from certified organic cassava farms. These ingredients deliver the same functional performance as our conventional grades while simplifying your organic labeling and compliance. Choosing the Right Organic Ingredient for Your Application

The decision between organic cassava flour and organic tapioca starch depends on what role the ingredient plays in your formulation. Cassava flour comes from the whole root, so it contributes fiber, body, and a texture closer to wheat flour. Tapioca starch is the extracted starch portion of the cassava root, so it functions primarily as a thickener, binder, and stabilizer. If your formulation needs structure, cassava flour is typically the starting point. If it needs binding or thickening without adding bulk, tapioca starch is the better fit.

Both products carry USDA Organic certification. Because organic ingredient sourcing requires access to certified farms and verified supply chains, availability can be tighter than conventional grades. We maintain inventory to support consistent supply, but we recommend discussing your volume needs with our team early in the planning process.

Organic Cassava Flour

This is the organic version of our King Lion Specialty Cassava Flour, sourced from certified organic cassava farms. It delivers the same moisture retention, crumb structure, and baking performance that manufacturers rely on from our conventional grade. Because it uses the whole root, it works well in applications where you need structure and body rather than just binding. Common uses include gluten-free breads, cakes, muffins, tortillas, pizza crusts, and snack products. For manufacturers already using our conventional cassava flour, this grade offers a direct path to an organic product line without reformulating.

Organic Native Tapioca Starch

This is a native, unmodified tapioca starch with USDA Organic certification. It functions as a clean-label thickener, binder, filler, and stabilizer across a wide range of applications. Because it is processed in facilities that handle only cassava products, it avoids cross-contamination concerns common with multi-commodity starch processors. It works well in baked goods, extruded snacks, frozen foods, dry mixes, soups, sauces, and gravies. This starch is also naturally gluten-free, grain-free, and Non-GMO Project Verified, so it checks multiple label claims with a single ingredient.

We maintain HACCP and SQF protocols across our supply chain, and we provide allergen statements and spec sheets on request. Because these are organic ingredients, we also supply organic certificates for each shipment to support your compliance documentation.
